Grow. Innovate. Connect.

Thank You for an Incredible CONNECT 2026

Thank you to the retailers, groomers, distributors, manufacturers, service providers, and pet professionals who joined us March 4 and 5, 2026 at CONNECT in Niagara Falls.

Over two incredible days, the Canadian pet industry came together to share ideas, discover new products, attend education sessions, and build the relationships that continue to move our industry forward. From the busy show floor to the CONNECT Tool Box vendors and networking events, the energy and collaboration made this year’s event truly special.

CONNECT has always been built by pet professionals for pet professionals, and it is your participation, passion, and commitment to the industry that make the event what it is.

Thank you for being part of CONNECT. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

"Connect Pet Expo offers a truly valuable and refreshing experience. The environment allows for meaningful, one-on-one time with brands, creating space for real conversations, thoughtful questions, and stronger relationship building. The overall atmosphere is welcoming, collaborative, and genuinely supportive of the pet specialty community. It’s an event that prioritizes connection and quality interactions".

Jennifer Murray

“One of the qualities that makes Connect stand out is its accessibility. The show operates without membership fees, making it easier for new entrepreneurs and emerging brands to enter the market and present their ideas alongside more established companies. This open structure encourages innovation and provides smaller businesses with a platform to introduce new concepts to retailers.”

Riley Card

"Connect Pet Expo was a great experience for us, especially being a newer business. It was really well organized, and we were able to make some strong connections with retailers that actually made sense for us. Overall, it felt like a show that delivered real value and helped us keep building momentum."

Empowering Change: How National Service Dogs and NutriSource Pet Foods Are Supporting Canadian Families

In communities across Canada, the need for mental health and emotional support services is growing—and innovative solutions are more important than ever. At the heart of one such solution is National Service Dogs' Canine Assisted Intervention (CAI) Program, a powerful initiative that harnesses the therapeutic power of dogs to bring comfort, stability, and healing to individuals in need. Now, with the generous support of NutriSource Pet Foods, this life-changing program is poised to reach even more families.

What Is the Canine Assisted Intervention Program?

National Service Dogs (NSD) has long been a pioneer in training and providing service dogs to Canadians with disabilities. The Canine Assisted Intervention program takes that mission a step further by placing expertly trained dogs with mental health professionals and service providers who work with vulnerable populations, including children affected by trauma, veterans, and individuals navigating mental health challenges.

These dogs offer a non-judgmental presence that can reduce anxiety, increase trust, and encourage emotional expression. For children in therapy, veterans in recovery, or families coping with crisis, a CAI dog can provide a bridge to healing that traditional methods sometimes struggle to achieve.

The Impact on Canadian Families

Whether it’s a child with PTSD finding the courage to speak in a therapy session or a parent receiving vital mental health support while their child bonds with a calm, comforting canine companion, the CAI program creates ripple effects that touch entire households. These service dogs:

  • Increase engagement in therapy and education

  • Promote emotional regulation

  • Reduce stress in high-intensity environments like hospitals or crisis centres

  • Build resilience in both children and adults

One family described their experience with a CAI dog as "transformative," saying that their child began sleeping through the night again and looked forward to therapy sessions for the first time in years.

NutriSource Pet Foods:  Fueling the Mission

In 2025, NutriSource Pet Foods announced their sponsorship of NSD's Canine Assisted Interventions Program.  This partnership represents a shared vision of nurturing well-being, family strength, and community care.

A Shared Future of Compassion and Care

When companies like NutriSource invest in programs like NSD’s CAI Program, they are investing in healthier families, stronger communities, and a more compassionate society.

Through every wag, cuddle, and calm gaze, these dogs are helping to reshape the Canadian mental health landscape—one family at a time.
