Thursday night features Connect Live at the NFCC with the Orange Man Band. The evening will kick off with $10,000 in cash giveaways to retailers and exhibitors.
Weruva International, Inc., a Natick, Mass.-based pet food manufacturer, has acquired Cat Person, a direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand offering high-quality meal plans to cats and their owners. This acquisition marks a significant step for Weruva as it aims to expand its footprint further and build upon its legacy of producing high-quality pet foods, according to company officials.
"Adding this popular brand to our portfolio aligns perfectly with our “more food, more bowls” philosophy, strengthening our commitment to the health and happiness of pets everywhere,” said David Forman, Weruva president. “This strategic move not only positions us to gain invaluable insights into the successful DTC model that Cat Person has assembled, but our strength and relationships with brick-and-mortar retailers also fills in a gap for the Cat Person brand.”
During this transition period following the acquisition, Cat Person customers can expect the same level of quality and service they have grown accustomed to, now broadened to include an even wider range of exceptional pet food options from Weruva, officials said. The ordering process and the quality of goods delivered to consumers will continue to uphold the same standards that customers have come to expect and trust, officials added.
